Africa, a continent full of potential, has been plagued by poverty, inequality, and underdevelopment for decades. However, there is hope for the future as entrepreneurial African youths are stepping up to tackle these challenges. The power of us young people lies in our innovative ideas, passion, and determination to create change.

According to Fred Swaniker, a Ghanaian entrepreneur and founder of the African Leadership Group, "Entrepreneurs are the backbone of the African economy, and we need to create an environment that allows them to thrive." Young Africans are not only creating jobs for themselves but also for their communities. They use technology to solve problems and improve access to education, Healthcare, and finance. By doing so, they are contributing to the growth of their economies.

The Anzisha Prize has showcased several such Leaders. With only an age range of 15yrs-20yrs, this group of talented young African dreamers is presented in every sector. From Agriculture to education, technology, Healthcare, e-commerce, finance, logistics & supply chain, and transport...e.tc

As a member of this echo system, I firmly believe we're building systems that will provide employment opportunities, upgrade African literacy levels, model African political structures and save lives, and that's what’s important. It's not just about the technology or the income for individual founders; it's about the impact on people's lives. I firmly believe that the Anzisha fellowship develops entrepreneurs who are not only driven by profit but also by the desire to make a positive impact.

African governments are also recognizing the importance of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth. Rwandan President Paul Kagame says, "Entrepreneurship is the key to unlocking Africa's potential. We need to create an environment that supports and encourages entrepreneurship, which means investing in education, infrastructure, and access to finance." With the right policies and support, African youths can unleash their potential and contribute to developing their countries.

The power of entrepreneurial African youths in African development cannot be underestimated. We are using our creativity, passion, and determination to create innovative solutions to our communities challenges. As Nigerian entrepreneur Tony Elumelu says, "Africans must take charge of their economic future. We have the talent, the resources, and the will to succeed." It is up to African governments and the international community to support and invest in us young people to ensure a brighter future for Africa.
